1988 – Four on the Floor was the 1st line up of the band we know today as The Flaming Sambucas. It consisted of the members Evan Jones (Pushbike Song), Terry Nicholas and sisters – Katrina Harding & Carmen Hill.
When Evan left in 1991, Michael Potter joined and the name of the band was changed to The Flaming Sambucas. The musical direction was also to slightly change – to favour the 70's and 80's more than the 60's.
In April 1995, Tanya decided to leave and Annie Crowson, who was singing with Sister Act, joined. This line up grew in strength until 1999 when Heidi left to venture overseas.
In 2002, Heidi returned from overseas, and The Flaming Sambucas became a 5-piece band for a short time until Annie left to live in Queensland.
After reverting back to a 4-piece line-up, Heidi and Jayde continued, but left the band in June 2004.
In 2004 Kirstie Lund and Katrina Tierney-Smith joined The Flaming Sambucas and left to pursue other goals in 2006.
Shelley Lund and Sarah Lloyde joined Mick and Terry for a short time in 2006 with a great finale to the year performing at Moseley Square-Glenelg (South Australia) for The New Year's Eve celebrations.
2006 Christmas Season saw the return of Jayde – one of the Sambucas' favorite girls – to team up with Sarah.
With Sarah leaving to pursue the “Australian Idol” dream in 2007, Jayde was then joined by Lesley Williams to create another strong team.
2009 – Jodie and Michelle, (joining Terry and Mick), having added a wealth of experience, talent and energy have taken The Flaming Sambucas to even greater heights.
